Find out about our accelerated learning experience
If you have never been on a course with us before you might be wondering what taking a speed reading class will be like.
The first thing to say: you'll learn lots and you'll be finding out how to change some life-long habits for the better. You'll get some serious benefits and see some significant improvements in a very short time.
There's no sitting and listening to teacher for hours on end. Instead, you'll quickly start practising new techniques and approaches. We do things this way because we know that if you are relaxed and actively involved in your learning, you'll absorb new content and behaviours more effectively.
Alex, our Speed Reading Coach, is passionate about his subject and has many years of experience in his field. You'll have a great time learning how to speed read and you'll be amazed at how quickly you'll feel comfortable using this new approach.
Before the day
There's just a little bit of homework to do before the class. You'll need to pick out and bring along 2 or 3 non-fiction books that you want to read. They should be mainly text with only a few graphics, pictures or other visual elements.
On the day
When you arrive, Alex will do some quick introductory exercises so you know your fellow class mates and to make sure you are relaxed and ready to learn.
After that he'll take you through the half a dozen key areas of speed reading. As you work through each area and its related techniques, there'll be lots of opportunity to practice and measure your progress.
By the end of the class, Alex will show you how to pull together all the different techniques you have learnt, enabling you to dramatically improve your reading speed.
After the class
There's some more to learn about four weeks after the class. The additional information you cover in this 1-hour session will help you extend and consolidate what you've already learnt. It also gives Alex the chance to catch up with you, see how you're getting on and review any of the techniques you feel you need a bit more help with. The session can be done in person, by phone or over the web.
